Smoking Cessation and Low Level Laser Therapy...

I have recently came across this type of therapy for smoking cessation and had to investigate.

The treatment is a holistic approach without the use of drugs. As part of the treatment, a cold laser is applied to certain parts of the body, this stimulates the release of endorphins which eases the pain and stress associated with stopping smoking. Combined with counseling, this approach claims a 50% success rate.

I haven't tried it or even know anyone who has. I visited a site that offers 30 minute laser treatments for $399 and up to 2 follow-ups for $30 each. There is no guarantee involved, which I wouldn't expect.

Lot of money to get zapped by a laser. I might be inclined to run my hand over the scanner at the self-checkout line at my grocery store and see if I get an endorphin rush. I will keep an open mind and report any updated information on this laser therapy.
