| Netflix DVD Rental Service: |
|
When
we wanted a DVD movie rental, our option here in was: our local video store. It was 2 miles away and a
bit of a pain to get to.
I
had heard of Netflix, where you rent dvd movies online and they
send them to you. There was a free trial offered so I tried it out
by signing up for the 3 a month plan. I can have 3 movies out at
any one time and when I send one back in its prepaid envelope, another
dvd movie is sent. After signing up, the first thing you do is find
movies and add them to your queue. Pretty soon, I had 25 movies
in it, including all the new releases. In 2 days, I received the
first 3 dvd's in my queue. Watched them over the next few days,
send them back and received the next one. The turnaround is very
quick as it seems they have mailing centers located all over. I
love this service for movie rentals
As far as receiving new releases, I usually receive them the day
after they are released. Occasionally there is a wait, but in the
year that I have had the service, I have only had to wait a few
days at most. They have just about every movie that is out on dvd
and also TV mini-series, TV series like Seinfeld, original Star
Trek episodes. Best of all, there are never late fees; keep the
movies as long as you want.
The
only improvement that I would like to see implemented is a list
of upcoming releases, so I could get them in the queue in advance.
I solved this by going to another site and use there upcoming movies'
list. Now my Netflix queue is 1 months ahead of actual release dates.
