Alright, so you have your aquarium...
...but now what? This list is meant to give you what you need
to begin your goldfish tank. Some of these items are labeledoptional,
meaning that they aren't necessary, but it still is something you
may need/want. Some things are labeled as recommended, and
while these are also optional, it is highly suggested that you buy
them, anyway.
Also, this table gives you links to specific products that are reviewed
as good products, or are tried and true products. The links will
take you to PetsMART and the product you have selected, with the
option of putting it into your shopping cart.

*It's recommended that you have 1/4" to 1" of gravel lining your
tank.
**Since goldfish are coldwater fish, you only really need a heater
if your tank temperature fluctuates a lot, or if it will dip below
60 F.
***These are for a 2-3 times a week treat for your goldfish and
help with their diet.
****Although a bit pricey, it does allow you to clean your aquarium
without lugging buckets back and forth. I, therefore, think it is
worth the extra money.
Of course, this list doesn't include any decorations you might want
to add, or any other aesthetic adding. Gravel is recommended just
because goldfish like to forage through it, and of course, if you
plan to have a planted tank in the future, gravel or some sort of
substrate is necessary.
