Help, My Goldfish has the Blues!: |
|
- Get a piece of paper and a pen and make the list of all abnormal
appearances and strange behavior you can observe with your eyes.
Are his fins clamped? Is he gasping at the surface? Does he seem
to be shimmying in one place? Is his fins red? Make as complete
a list as possible! Feed him and see if he jumps as enthusiastically
to the food or is he listlessly watching it glide by?
- If you see some open wounds on his body, add MelaFix to the
tank, following the directions on the bottle.
- Test the water parameters of your tank and record the results.
You should especially record ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, and
temperature.
- Do a 20% water change to the tank and wait for a few hours
to see if your fish improves.
- Consider adding salt to your tanks. Dissolve the salt first
in a bucket, and only add 1/3rd of the required salt at once.
(So, you should add salt for 3 days) For example, the directions
probably says add 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons. If you have
a 15 gallon tank, that means you add 1 tablespoon everyday for
3 days. This will keep the fish from going into shock from a sudden
increase in salt.
I
think the Fuji S5100 is a great camera and I highly recommend it
